Opap Park

Covering an area of 1,393 square meters, the OPAP Park is located at the crossroads of Andreas Anastasopoulos and Spyridonas Nobelis streets. These streets are dedicated to Greek heroes who tragically perished during the 1974 Turkish invasion. This beautifully landscaped park, a project by OPAP Cyprus, serves as a tribute to commemorate the courageous sacrifice of all Greek heroes who lost their lives in June 1974 and were laid to rest in the nearby Tomb of Macedonitissa. It stands as a poignant reminder of heroism, selflessness, and unwavering dedication in the struggle for the liberation of Cyprus.

Apart from the prominent large chessboard that commands attention in the area, OPAP Park boasts four smaller outdoor chessboards that will be open to the general public. Additionally, the park is equipped with a compact amphitheater, which will be accessible to the students from the 3rd Primary School of Macedonitissa.
